12kw PTC Electric Liquid Heater

The 12kW electric heater for new energy vehicles is an efficient thermal management device, mainly used for battery thermal management, cabin heating, and antifreeze of key components in electric vehicles in low-temperature environments. Its core function is to convert electrical energy into thermal energy, solve the limitation of traditional fuel vehicles relying on engine waste heat, and ensure the performance and driving comfort of vehicles in cold climates.

This electric heater usually adopts PTC (positive temperature coefficient) ceramic heating technology and has self-temperature control characteristics. When the temperature rises, the resistance value increases to limit the current, avoid the risk of overheating, and increase safety. The 12kW high-power design can quickly respond to low-temperature needs. For example, in an environment of -30℃, the battery pack can be preheated to the optimal operating temperature (10-25℃) within 10 minutes, reducing the battery capacity attenuation and charging efficiency reduction caused by low temperature. At the same time, the integrated intelligent control system adjusts the output power in real time through temperature sensors and CAN bus communication to achieve a dynamic balance between energy consumption and efficiency and minimize the impact on the cruising range.

The structure adopts a modular design, including a heating core, a heat dissipation component, an insulating protective layer, and a control unit. It meets the IP67 waterproof and dustproof standard and is suitable for high-voltage platforms (usually 300-800V). The application scenarios cover battery pack liquid cooling circuit heating, air conditioning heating system, and motor/electronic control preheating, which significantly improves the vehicle's low-temperature starting performance and winter endurance. With the popularization of heat pump technology, 12kW electric heaters are often used as auxiliary heat sources to work with them, forming an important part of the efficient thermal management system of new energy vehicles.
