Roof Top Truck Air Conditioner

Cooling Cycle: Roof-mounted air conditioners for RVs typically use a cooling cycle system, similar to a home or car air conditioner. This system consists of a compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator. A refrigerant gas is compressed by the compressor to heat it up; the gas is then cooled to a liquid by dissipating heat through the condenser; the liquid refrigerant passes through the expansion valve into the evaporator, absorbing heat from the room and cooling the air in the process; finally, the refrigerant returns to the compressor again, and the cycle repeats itself.
Vents and Fans: RV overhead air conditioners also typically include internal fans to circulate the air. Through vents, cool air is pumped into the interior of the RV while hot air is exhausted.
