RV rooftop air conditioner is a vehicle air conditioning system designed specifically for RVs. Its core components (compressor, condenser, evaporator, etc.) are integrated and installed on the roof. Optimizing the space layout and improving energy efficiency provide a comfortable in-vehicle environment for RV travelers. As an important supporting facility for RV life, it is significantly different from traditional household air conditioners in terms of design concept, function realization, and user experience.
Structure and working principle
The roof-mounted air conditioner of the RV adopts an integrated compact design. The main unit is highly integrated in the roof cabin and connected to the air duct in the car through the roof opening. Its working principle follows the compression refrigeration cycle: the compressor drives the refrigerant to circulate, and after the condenser dissipates heat and liquefies, it is throttled and reduced in pressure through the expansion valve, and the heat in the car is absorbed in the evaporator to achieve cooling. The cold air is evenly delivered to the car through the roof air duct, and some high-end models also support a heating function. The control system is usually integrated into the car panel or supports remote control by mobile phone APP to achieve multi-speed wind speed and temperature adjustment.
