2.Introduction
The temperature of the battery rises due to the large amount of heat generated by the power cell and the fact that it is in a relatively closed environment. The battery module cooling system is a device used to dissipate heat in new energy vehicles. By keeping the power cell cooled or heated, the power cell can be kept at a better operating temperature to improve its operating efficiency and extend its service life. The heat dissipation has been the focus of research on new energy vehicles.
Thermal management of the new energy vehicle power lithium battery pack system can be divided into four categories: natural cooling, air cooling, liquid cooling and direct cooling. Of these, naturally cooling is a passive thermal management method, whereas air-cooling, liquid-cooling and direct cooling are active. The key difference between the three is the difference in the heat exchange media. There is no additional heat exchange device for natural cooling.
