Classification of RV air conditioners

1. According to the function and use, it is divided into driving air conditioners and parking air conditioners
Driving air conditioners: Driving air conditioners are the air conditioners that are brought when the original vehicle engine is started, and are used during the driving of the vehicle. In the parking state, the driving air conditioner cannot be used for a long time, which will cause the carbon monoxide concentration in the car to exceed the standard and suffocate. Generally, the driving air conditioner of a 5-meter RV is equipped with a 4000-5000 kcal. For an RV with a length of 5.5 meters to 6 meters, when the cockpit and the caravan are connected, the original car factory is generally equipped with a "rear air conditioner evaporator" with a cooling capacity of 8000-10000 kcal to ensure the cooling effect.
Parking air conditioner: As the name suggests, it is an air conditioner that uses a stable power supply when the RV arrives at the destination and stops. According to the function, it can be divided into heating and cooling air conditioners and single cooling air conditioners; according to the type of air conditioner, it can be divided into household air conditioners and RV-specific air conditioners; according to the power supply type, it can be divided into 12V, 24V, and 220V air conditioners.
Parking air conditioners are car air conditioners used when parking. Generally, it is installed on the top of the vehicle, with the external unit outside the vehicle and the internal unit on the top of the vehicle. The parking roof air conditioner raises the height of the RV by 23-30CM. Some manufacturers also have parking air conditioners under the seats, because they do not need to change the appearance, which is more suitable for friends who modify it personally. Parking air conditioners are divided into cooling and heating air conditioners and single cooling air conditioners. RVs with a length of more than 5 meters generally use cooling and heating air conditioners.
2. According to the installation position, it is divided into: roof air conditioner & bottom air conditioner
The advantage of the roof air conditioner is that it is installed on the top of the RV, reducing the space occupied in the RV. Designed specifically for RVs, it has better shockproof function. Because it is in the center of the car body, the air will be faster and more uniform. The cold air will sink, and the cooling effect is obvious.
The advantage of the bottom air conditioner is that the bottom air conditioner is generally hidden under the bed in the RV or at the bottom of the booth sofa, saving space. It can be designed according to the specific space of your RV.

3. According to the working mode, it can be divided into: fixed frequency air conditioners & variable frequency air conditioners
Fixed frequency air conditioner: Fixed frequency air conditioner is a unit that provides air temperature change processing for space area. The main function of fixed-frequency air conditioners is to adjust indoor temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and other parameters. The main feature of this air conditioner is that it is equipped with a fixed-speed compressor, that is, the compressor speed is fixed and cannot be adjusted. At the same time, the air conditioner can only adjust the temperature in the room by running and stopping the compressor. This simple method of using "stop and start" to adjust the temperature is easy to cause the indoor temperature to fluctuate, and it is easier to consume electricity.
Variable frequency air conditioner: A variable frequency air conditioner is equipped with a variable frequency compressor on the basis of a fixed frequency air conditioner so that the air conditioner can realize variable speed operation of the compressor and automatic step-less speed change of the host. The variable frequency air conditioner automatically supplies the required cold air according to the temperature change of the room. When the indoor temperature reaches the preset temperature, the variable frequency air conditioner can maintain a constant speed at this specific temperature, so as to keep the indoor temperature stable.
